Golf Club Narita High Tree is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Taga, Katori District, Chiba Prefecture. Designed by Akio Ishii, the layout spans 300,000 tsubo (approximately 100 hectares) and opened in April 1978. The course measures 6,943 yards from the back tees and features a two-green system utilizing both Bentgrass and Korean Bentgrass. The design aims to provide a spacious environment where players can enjoy the game in a relaxed setting.

The course offers a variety of tee box options to accommodate different skill levels, with course ratings ranging from 63.7 to 73.1 for men and 68.8 to 80.2 for women depending on the tee and grass type. The expansive 300,000 tsubo site allows for a layout that emphasizes the joy and power of golf. The facility operates under an anonymous partnership system, where members collectively own and manage the club through a transparent governance structure.

Ishii’s design integrates the natural terrain of the Chiba landscape into the routing. The use of two different grass types for the greens adds a layer of strategic complexity to putting surfaces. The club’s philosophy centers on fostering camaraderie among members and promoting the sport, creating a social atmosphere that extends beyond the fairways. The course remains a staple in the local golfing community, maintaining its original character since its completion in 1977.
