Golf Club Matterhorn is a parkland course located in the Valais Alps near Zermatt, Switzerland, at an elevation of 1,420 meters with views of Breithorn and Klein Matterhorn. Designed by Scottish architect John Chilver-Stainer, the course features a unique 9-hole plus concept with 18 tees, allowing players to experience 18-hole play from varying tee positions on nine greens. This design provides technical and tactical challenges across a mostly flat terrain set against spectacular mountain scenery. The course welcomes members, guests, and beginners alike, offering a distinctive golfing experience. The facility includes a driving range, putting green, chipping green, pitching green, and practice bunker. Golf instruction is available through Swiss PGA professional Dario Perren, with programs for both beginners and experienced players. The venue also hosts the Matterhorn Eagle Cup, a team competition held against the iconic backdrop of the Matterhorn mountain.
