Golf Club Frassanelle is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Marco Croze in 1990, situated within a magnificent 19th-century estate spanning over 200 hectares in the Colli Euganei hills near Padua, Italy. The course is set within the Papafava estate, a property of significant historical and environmental importance, designated within the Colli Euganei Regional Park and recognized for landscape conservation.
The layout features expansive open spaces interspersed with woodlands and numerous water features distributed throughout the routing, which enhance the aesthetic appeal while increasing playing difficulty. The clubhouse is housed in a carefully restored 17th-century rural building, designed with Anglo-Saxon golfing aesthetics in mind. The estate was originally landscaped in the mid-1800s by renowned Venetian architect Giuseppe Jappelli, who aimed to bring English countryside charm to the Veneto region.
The course's privileged location provides access to the natural attractions of the Colli Euganei and the nearby UNESCO World Heritage cities of Padua, Venice, and Vicenza. The facility hosts international tournaments, including the Venice Open and Junior International Open, and operates a golf academy alongside dining facilities.
