Golf Club des Iles Borromées

Golf Club des Iles Borromées is an 18-hole championship course located in the Alto-Vergante plateau near Stresa on Lake Maggiore in northern Italy, situated at approximately 600 meters elevation. The course measures 6,122 meters with a par of 72.

The setting is characterized by exceptional panoramic views across four pre-Alpine lakes—Maggiore, Varese, Monate, and Comabbio—as well as vistas toward the Simplon Alps and Swiss mountains. On clear days, the Milan skyline is visible from the 18th tee. The course benefits from year-round playability, with cool summers and sunny winters due to its elevated, south-facing position in an unspoiled natural environment.

The layout takes advantage of the plateau terrain, offering distinctive vistas from key holes, particularly the 9th green overlooking the Simplon Mountains and Val Grande, and the elevated 18th tee. The course operates throughout the year, with reduced winter hours and Monday closures during winter months, accommodating both competitive play and recreational golf in a naturally beautiful Alpine setting.
