Founded in 1922, Golf Club de Genève is located in Vandoeuvres on the Cologny hillside overlooking Lake Geneva. The championship 18-hole course was designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Senior in 1973 and underwent comprehensive renovation from 2016 to 2018 under the direction of Robert Trent Jones Junior.
Set within the magnificent Bessinge arboretum park, the course features diverse vegetation, wildlife, and century-old trees, with panoramic views of Lake Geneva, the Alps, and Mont-Blanc. The layout is varied and accessible to all skill levels.
The club hosts comprehensive practice facilities including a covered driving range, multiple putting greens, and dedicated areas for short-game and bunker training. Golf Club de Genève is internationally recognized and regularly stages major amateur and professional competitions, including the Women's World Amateur Championship (1982), multiple editions of the Swiss International and Rolex Trophy (Challenge Tour), the Palmer Cup (2022), and the European Teams Boys Championship (2023). The club received GEO (Golf Environment Organization) certification in 2023 for its sustainability initiatives.
