Golf Club Casentino is located in Poppi, Arezzo, in the heart of Tuscany's national park area, established in 1985. The course currently features 13 holes with an additional 18-hole completion under construction, with holes 10 and 11 homologated in 2013. The layout is situated on terraced grounds surrounded by oak and chestnut woodlands, accessible entirely from the clubhouse positioned at the highest point.

The course emphasizes technical precision and accuracy over power, with natural obstacles and varied terrain requiring strategic use of all clubs and shot types. The design showcases the distinctive Tuscan landscape featuring medieval castles, Romanesque churches, and historical monasteries including Camaldoli and La Verna, all integrated within an intact natural setting designated as a national park since 1991.

Facilities include a clubhouse, restaurant and bar, practice ground with seven covered stations and fourteen grass positions, putting green, pitching green, and practice bunker. The club, founded by the municipality of Poppi and Province of Arezzo, is affiliated with the Italian Golf Federation and CONI, accommodating members with equipment rental, instruction, and golf shop services.
