Golf Club an der Göhrde e.V. is a golf course founded in 1968, making it the first facility between Hamburg, Bremen, Hannover, and Braunschweig. Originally a 9-hole course, it expanded to an 18-hole layout in 2000. The course is situated in the Lüneburger Heide region within a natural, unspoiled landscape that blends harmoniously with the surrounding terrain.
The course is characterized as a naturalist's paradise, featuring healthy biotopes, rare butterflies, red deer, and squirrels. It exemplifies environmental stewardship with its integration into the natural landscape. The facility includes two courses: the White Course and Blue Course, accommodating golfers of various skill levels.
Beyond the golf course itself, the club offers a full membership program, guest greenfee options, a restaurant, and professional instruction. The course participates in the Heide Golfcard program, allowing play across eight courses in the region. Winter play operates with temporary greens and tees from November through April, demonstrating year-round playability.
