Located at the Cuatro Vientos Air Base, the golf facilities at the Centro Deportivo Sociocultural Militar Barberán y Collar comprise a nine-hole course and a dedicated practice area. The entire sports complex occupies approximately 234,000 square meters within the base, providing a setting for military and civilian personnel to engage in athletic and social activities. The course layout is defined by its nine-hole configuration, supported by a covered practice zone with five bays and an open area for four additional players. The practice facilities include three par-3 holes, allowing for focused training on approach shots and short-game techniques. The golf infrastructure is complemented by a club room and standard amenities for players. The course operates as part of a broader sports center that also includes six tennis courts, four padel courts, and swimming pools, all managed under the jurisdiction of the Spanish Air Force. The center was established in 1969 following an initiative by Colonel Carlos Ferrándiz Arjonilla, who sought to create a sports center for the Air Force. It was originally named after Mariano Barberán, the aviator who completed the historic flight from Tablada to Camagüey. In 2005, the facility was renamed to honor both Barberán and his co-pilot, Joaquín Collar, recognizing their shared legacy in Spanish aviation history. Regular competitive play is organized through various social leagues and tournaments, including senior social events, ladies' leagues, and youth competitions. The calendar also features Pro-Am events and matches against other clubs, such as Dehesa. The course serves as a venue for the Circuit of Professionals of Madrid and other inter-club fixtures, maintaining a active schedule of social and competitive golf throughout the year.
