The Hyderabad Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Hyderabad, Telangana, developed through an initiative of the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation and licensed to the Hyderabad Golf Association. The course measures approximately 6,100 yards with a par of 70. It is distinguished by its unique setting within and around the historic Golconda Fort, a nationally protected monument. Fourteen of the holes are situated within the ramparts of Naya Qila, an adjunct to the fort, while the remaining portion of the course and the clubhouse are built on reclaimed land outside the fort walls. The terrain combines lush fairways and championship-quality greens with scenic water bodies and carefully preserved archaeological features. The course is recognized for its sustainable environmental practices, being fully irrigated using treated wastewater through an advanced root-zone bio-remediation system. This eco-friendly approach has contributed to the club receiving the National Tourism Award twice for being the "Best Tourism-Friendly Golf Course."
Strategically placed hazards challenge golfers of all skill levels, and the facility includes a modern clubhouse, a floodlit driving range, a golf academy, and a pro shop. The club serves as a preferred venue for national and international golf tournaments and is considered a cradle for future champions. Its location near Golconda Fort makes it easily accessible from major areas of the city while offering a distinctive heritage golfing experience.
