Gibson Bay Golf Course

Designed by Michael Hurdzan in 1993, Gibson Bay Golf Course is a 7,100-yard, par 72 layout located along Richmond's 450-acre Lake Reba recreational complex in Kentucky. The course was recognized as an honorable mention by Golf Digest for best new public golf course in the United States upon its opening.

Gibson Bay features up to five tee boxes per hole, accommodating players of all skill levels. All tees, greens, and fairways are maintained with bent grass to ensure quality playing conditions. The course presents an open design where wind becomes a significant factor in shot-making strategy. While trouble off the tee is minimal, errant drives result in side-hill lies and challenging approach shots.

Many greens are set into hillsides and protected by strategically positioned bunkers and mounding. The course also offers a short course option and maintains bent grass throughout for consistent playing conditions, making it suitable for both casual rounds and competitive play.
