Rurikei Golf Club is a 27-hole facility located in Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, set at an elevation of 650 meters. The course opened in September 1975 with the Middle and West courses comprising 18 holes, followed by the completion of the East course the next year. Designed by J.E. Crane and constructed by Takenaka Corporation, the layout features three distinct 18-hole courses—Higashi (East), Naka (Middle), and Nishi (West)—offering a total of 9,942 yards from the full back tees and 9,417 yards from the regular tees. All greens are bentgrass, and the course is characterized by flat terrain and wide fairways that allow for strategic play from multiple angles.

Each of the three courses carries its own strategic identity. The East Course highlights the 6th hole as a long-drive favorite and the 3rd as a near-pin target. The Middle Course features the 8th as a long-drive hole and the 4th as a near-pin challenge, while the West Course designates the 8th for long drives and the 6th for approach precision. The wide, open design encourages players to choose their own lines, with the generous fairway widths and flat topography providing a relatively forgiving layout compared to more demanding mountain courses.

The club is situated in a mountainous setting, accessible via the Kyoto Kanse Expressway, the Hanshin Expressway, and the Shin-Meishin Expressway. The course is equipped with GPS-enabled two-seater carts and electromagnetic induction carts, and the clubhouse includes a driving range, practice putting green, restaurant, and locker facilities.
