Nestled at the foot of the Izumi Mountains, Kansai Airport Classic Golf Club presents a 72-par, 18-hole layout that traverses natural mountain terrain. The course is characterized by its strategic demands and features high-speed bent greens. Located in a region accessible via the JR Hanwa Line and the Hanshin Expressway, the course offers a distinct mountain golf experience that changes with the seasons. The front nine tests players with a mix of long par fives and technical par fours. The 1st hole, a 380-yard par 4, requires a precise tee shot to avoid bunkers on the fairway edge. The 5th hole, the course's longest at 526 yards, is a gentle par 5 that encourages a left-side approach on the second shot. The 7th hole, a 526-yard par 5, features a right dogleg where players must choose between driving for the green or laying up safely, with an OB zone guarding the left side of the green. The back nine introduces significant elevation changes and blind shots. The 14th hole, a 367-yard par 4, plays uphill with a blind second shot, forcing players to aim at a target without seeing the green. The 15th hole, a 433-yard par 5, requires a tee shot aimed at a lower target, with bunkers lining the right side and a narrow green front. The 17th hole is a 455-yard par 5 featuring a 45-meter drop from the tee, requiring a 215-yard drive to the center of the fairway on a left dogleg. The course also includes three par 3s, including the 16th at 131 yards and the 3rd at 154 yards, which add variety to the scoring opportunities.
