Located in Nishiminowa, Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, Shinshu Ina International Golf Club is a 36-hole facility situated in a region known for its cool summer climate. The course is divided into two distinct 18-hole layouts: the White Birch Course and the Japanese Larch Course. Both courses are set against the backdrop of the Central and Southern Alps, offering players expansive views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The terrain is characterized as a flat, open layout that provides a comfortable playing environment, particularly during the summer months when average temperatures remain in the low 20s Celsius. The White Birch Course, which hosted the 1984 Japan LPGA Championship, features a par-72 layout with a back tee distance of 7,108 yards. It includes a demanding par-5 fifth hole stretching 618 yards from the back tees and a long par-5 sixteenth at 607 yards. The course also presents a short par-3 seventeenth at just 160 yards, providing a contrast to the longer holes. The Japanese Larch Course, noted for its cherry blossom scenery in the spring, also plays to par-72 but offers a slightly shorter back tee distance of 6,644 yards. Its signature long holes include the par-5 second at 584 yards and the par-5 seventeenth at 526 yards. The facility is positioned just three minutes from the Ina Interchange on the Chuo Expressway, making it accessible from major metropolitan areas. Tokyo is approximately two and a half hours away by car, while Nagoya is roughly an hour and fifty minutes distant. The club’s location in the Shinshu region provides a distinct climate advantage, with the cool, refreshing air offering a comfortable alternative to the heat found in other parts of Japan during the summer season.
