Located in No-eun-myeon, Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, Dongchon Golf Club is situated near the junction of the Jungbu Expressway and the Dongseo Expressway. The facility features two distinct 18-hole courses, East and West, both set at par 72. The East Course is characterized by its dynamic and challenging nature, utilizing natural forests and valleys while using exposed rocks as backdrops. In contrast, the West Course offers a strategic layout that follows the ridges and basins of natural valleys, featuring large ponds and flat fairways that provide clear visibility. The East Course spans 3,413 meters from the championship tees, while the West Course measures 3,195 meters from the same vantage point. The layout includes 13 lakes and 52 bunkers across the facility. The design philosophy emphasizes minimal earthwork to preserve the natural topography, aiming to maintain the original terrain and existing trees to create a natural-friendly environment. This approach allows golfers to experience changing winds, sunlight, and landscapes throughout the four-hour round. The course has received recognition for its design and quality, including being selected as a Best New Golf Course by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine in 2014. It was also named a Beautiful Golf Course in Korea by Golf Magazine in 2019 and received the Consumer Satisfaction Excellence Award from Dong-A Ilbo and XGOLF. The club's commitment to preserving natural terrain and minimizing construction impact is central to its identity as a course designed for both challenge and aesthetic enjoyment.
