Gansbaai Golf Club, located in Kleinbaai near Gansbaai, holds the distinction of being the southernmost golf course in South Africa. The course features a 9-hole layout with 18 tees, offering players the option to play either nine or eighteen holes. Designed with a links-style layout, the course winds through indigenous fynbos vegetation with stunning ocean views visible from most fairways.
The course is renowned for its challenging conditions, primarily due to the cool sea breeze that can rapidly intensify into strong winds. This environmental factor has earned the course a reputation for humbling even experienced golfers, with many skilled players returning with surprisingly high scores. The course was officially opened on 21 December 1991 and has since become a thriving facility, hosting an average of 13,000 rounds annually.
The club features amenities including a clubhouse bar, squash court, and a function hall accommodating 150 people.
