Fukuoka Raizan Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course located in Itooshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The 6,905-yard layout was designed by Takashi Tanihei of Politechnic Consultants, with course advisory provided by Masahiro Kuramoto. The property spans approximately 122 hectares of rolling, natural hills, a terrain that the club utilizes to create a course balancing beauty and strategic demands. The course is structured to reward both distance and accuracy, featuring a mix of holes that require bold drives and those that demand precise shot-making. The front nine covers 3,475 yards from the back tees, while the back nine runs for 3,430 yards. The longest hole on the property is the 641-yard 5th hole, which serves as a significant test of length, while the 186-yard 4th hole provides a contrasting short-par 3 challenge. Fukuoka Raizan Golf Club has a notable history in professional golf, having hosted the Japan Golf Tour Challenge Tournament multiple times. Events such as the "Loys Corporation Cup in Fukuoka Raizan" and the "Japan Create Challenge in Fukuoka Raizan" have been held on the grounds since 2013. The course also gained international attention in 1999 when Tiger Woods visited for a television recording of the show "Sports King," playing an exhibition match in front of a gallery of approximately 3,000 spectators.
