Course Information

Japan

Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Fujimigaoka Country Club is a 7,171-yard, par 72 layout set on a spacious hillside. The course is designed to offer views of Mount Fuji from various points, with the fairways spread out to provide a relaxed atmosphere. The terrain is generally flat, having been actively modified to reduce undulation, though the front nine features a mix of long, demanding holes, while the back nine consists largely of gentle uphill and downhill shots that can mislead players on distance. The front nine is characterized by long par 5s and par 4s that test distance. The opening hole is a 522-yard par 5 dogleg right where a large cherry tree obstructs the view of the second shot, requiring players to navigate carefully to the left of the tree. The fifth hole is a 539-yard par 5 dogleg left with a narrow fairway and a risk of out-of-bounds to the right. The sixth hole presents a 386-yard downhill par 4, where the fairway slopes to the left, encouraging players to use the rough for extra roll if the grass is short. The back nine introduces more elevation changes and strategic water hazards. The tenth hole is a 526-yard uphill par 5 that requires a precise second shot to avoid a steep drop to the green. The closing eighteenth hole is a 417-yard par 4 featuring a water carry of approximately 200 yards from the front tee, leading to an uphill approach. The course includes specific yardages for different tees, with the regular men's back nine measuring 3,367 yards and the front nine 3,404 yards.
