The 18-hole Frosty Valley course features 6,716 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course was designed in 1961 by William and David Gordon, one of the most famous father-son golf course architectural teams. Located in Danville, Pennsylvania, the routing includes doglegs and a 180-foot course elevation change that increases the effective playing length by 150+ yards.
The Gordon's golf courses were designed in the style championed by Robert Trent Jones, calling for precision tee shots and approaches, with bunkers usually flanking the line of play. The design includes more doglegs than expected (7) and greens contoured similar to a potato chip. Frosty Valley has 6 sets of tees, push-up style greens that cause unfamiliar players to typically come up short on approaches, yielding challenging recovery shots.
Frosty Valley has played host to some of central Pennsylvania's most time-honored golf tournaments. The facility is home to an 18-hole golf course, a rustic barn for weddings and events, and the Iron Fork restaurant.
