Francis A. Gross Golf Club opened in 1925 and is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Designed by W.D. Clark, the course features 6,574 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. It has gently rolling hills with elevated tees and greens, with three sets of tee-markers on each hole to challenge all skill levels, and is a mature course with lots of old trees. The course's location makes it readily accessible from Minneapolis or St. Paul with Interstate 35W marking the southern boundary.
It hosted the 1964 USGA National Public Links Championship, establishing itself as a significant venue for competitive golf. The course maintains Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary status, which emphasizes environmental stewardship. Riding carts are available for rent, although many golfers enjoy walking the course.
