Firekeeper Golf Course is a Par 72 championship layout located in Mayetta, Kansas, 15 miles north of Topeka. Designed by four-time PGA Tour winner Notah Begay III in partnership with ASGCA architect Jeffrey D. Brauer, the course opened in spring 2011 as Begay's signature design. Built with minimal disturbance to existing terrain, it stretches nearly 7,700 yards from the back tees with forward tees at 4,700 yards to accommodate all skill levels.

The course is inspired by Kansas prairie and rolling woodlands, featuring a challenging routing with strategic bunkering and native grass hazards throughout. Notable characteristics include dramatic elevation changes, creek crossings, and hole designs that emphasize accuracy over distance. The back nine presents particularly demanding conditions, with Hole 10 offering a sharp right-to-left dogleg and Hole 12 beginning a stretch of four consecutive difficult holes with severe green complexes.

Firekeeper has hosted multiple professional and elite amateur tournaments. It is rated the #1 golf course in Kansas by Golfweek magazine and operates as an economic endeavor of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
