Field Club of Omaha is one of the oldest private clubs west of the Mississippi River, located in Midtown Omaha on its original land since 1900. The golf course was established in 1901 with an initial nine holes, expanded to eighteen holes shortly after. The original course design dates to 1902, with several original greens still in play today.
The 18-hole course has hosted notable golfers including Bobby Jones and U.S. Open Champion Johnny Goodman, who was a club member. The layout reflects over a century of golf history, maintaining its classic design character while being integrated into the broader club amenities.
Field Club operates as a full-service private club in a residential setting, combining the golf course with aquatics facilities, dining, fitness center, and event spaces. The club emphasizes its heritage as a recreational retreat while adapting to modern membership expectations. The course represents a significant piece of Omaha's golfing and social history, continuously operated since its 1901 inception.
