Faribault Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Faribault, Minnesota, with a rich history spanning over a century. The original nine holes were designed and opened in 1910. The front nine at the current location was designed by Willie Kidd, a professional from Interlachen, and opened in 1956. Bob Carlson of Austin designed the back nine holes in 1966.
The course has played a significant role in Minnesota golf history and was instrumental in founding the Minnesota Golf Association alongside several other prominent clubs. It has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the 1970 Minnesota State Open, local qualifying for the 1984 U.S. Open, and the 1991 MGA Mid-Amateur. Since 1970, the club has annually hosted the Minnesota PGA Pro-Am Tournament.
Faribault Golf Club serves both public and member play and maintains practice facilities and a swimming pool. The facility emphasizes classic golf traditions and remains a cornerstone of the local golfing community.
