Eldorado Country Club features an 18-hole championship course with 6,770 yards and a par of 72. The course was designed by renowned architect Gary Roger Baird and opened in 1981. It has a course rating of 73.2 and a slope rating of 135. The course is located 30 minutes north of Dallas Fort Worth Airport in McKinney, Texas. The design incorporates natural rolling hills and giant oaks, creating a scenic championship layout. The course features tight, tree-lined fairways and well-bunkered greens with two imposing lakes. The course is known for its extremely sloped greens, which are often covered by heavy bunkering. Hole 5 is notably challenging at 433 yards with out-of-bounds on the right and a pond in the fairway at 200 yards from the tee, with the approach requiring a carry over a fronting bunker. The back nine features two demanding par 5s—the 11th, a narrow dogleg with a small pond right of the green, and the 15th, which features a creek cutting the fairway and riding the right side of the hole.
