The course was established in the 1960s as part of East Park's original development and has been a centerpiece of the facility for over 60 years.

The course is situated within a larger recreational complex that includes a driving range, mini-golf courses, and various other attractions. The setting incorporates the natural landscape surrounding the Thames River, which features prominently in the course's branding and visual identity.

East Park Golf serves as a community hub for golfing activities, offering tournaments, lessons, memberships, leagues, and foot golf options. The facility accommodates both competitive and recreational play, with programs developed to serve golfers of varying skill levels. The course has hosted numerous golf tournaments and corporate events throughout its history.

The facility was rebranded as East Park Golf Club in 2022, introducing a new logo that showcases the course's relationship with its riverside landscape.
