Eaglewood Golf Course opened in 1984 and was designed by Ward Northrup. The 18-hole executive layout features 3,105 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 57, with a course rating of 54.0 and a slope rating of 80 on Bermuda grass. Located in Hobe Sound, FL, it is part of a 55+ equity golf club community situated between the towns of Stuart and Jupiter.
The course features some of the strongest par-3s with forced carries over water or preserve on 10 of the 18 holes. Surrounded by tree-lined streets and 10 sparkling ponds, the course offers scenic surroundings with common wildlife sightings including sandhill cranes, herons, egrets, and turtles. Soft spikes are required. The course was designed by Ward Northrup, a Joe Lee protege, representing an example of old Florida golf.
Residents enjoy no greens or trail fees with on-site golf professionals and a pro shop, while the recently updated clubhouse features a dining room, dance floor, library, card room, and the 19th hole. Additional amenities include two soft-surface tennis courts, a heated outdoor pool, and a spa.
