Eagle Point Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Asuma, Inashiki District, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. The course was designed and supervised by So Kawaeda, with the club situated on approximately 950,000 square meters of land. The layout features five sets of tees, ranging from the gold tees at 7,292 yards to the silver tees at 5,764 yards, providing varied challenges for different skill levels. The course is characterized by a unique design philosophy where the tee shot directions for the par-3 and par-5 holes are arranged to face north, south, east, and west, ensuring that golfers do not face the same wind conditions on every hole. The front nine totals 3,591 yards from the gold tees, while the back nine measures 3,701 yards. The course includes a mix of par-4s, par-5s, and par-3s, with the longest hole being the 8th at 601 yards from the gold tees. The par-3s are notably short, with the 5th hole measuring just 178 yards from the gold tees and the 9th at 214 yards. The back nine features a demanding 15th hole, a 570-yard par-5, and a 471-yard par-4 at the 14th. The course requires players to navigate strategic decisions on every tee shot, leveraging the varied wind directions inherent in its layout. Eagle Point Golf Club operates as a walk-only course with caddies, though motorized carts are available for an additional fee. The facility includes a clubhouse designed by Mitsubishi Estate and Sakurai Atelier, featuring a restaurant, shop, and large bath. The course is associated with professional golfer Shingo Katayama, who serves as the resident pro. The club maintains strict etiquette standards, including dress codes that require jackets outside of the cool biz season and a pace of play target of under three hours and ten minutes per round.
