Eagle Bend Golf Course

Eagle Bend Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course located in Lawrence, Kansas, owned and operated by the City of Lawrence Parks, Recreation and Culture Department. The course features distinct design characteristics that divide its layout: the opening holes are heavily wooded and situated in the shadow of the Wakarusa River, while the final six holes are open without trees, offering contrasting playing experiences.

The course is notable for its environmental conservation efforts and wildlife habitat preservation. Bald eagles, which inspired the course's name, are frequently sighted during fall and early spring migrations. The surrounding areas support diverse wildlife populations.

Eagle Bend's amenities are comprehensive, including a full-service pro shop, snack bar, driving range, short iron range, and practice putting and chipping greens. The facility offers club repair, custom club fitting, and instruction from PGA professionals.
