Dunscar Golf Club

Dunscar Golf Club is an 18-hole moorland course located just 3 miles from Bolton town centre, situated at Longworth Lane, Bromley Cross. The course stretches 6,033 yards and presents a challenge suitable for golfers of all abilities.

The layout showcases dramatic natural scenery throughout. The signature hole is the par-3 16th (Quarry), a picturesque short hole surrounded by heather and gorse with four bunkers on the right. The 3rd hole (Watermans) is notable for its expansive valley views, with Winter Hill and Turton Heights forming a striking backdrop, accompanied by stretches of water in the distance. The 12th and 17th holes also offer especially scenic vistas.

Set across undulating moorland terrain, Dunscar offers uninterrupted views and tranquil surroundings despite its proximity to the urban centre. The course requires golfers to pace themselves accordingly due to its substantial yardage. Water hazards feature throughout the layout, adding to the strategic difficulty.

Though primarily a private members' club, Dunscar welcomes visitors and offers various packages combining golf with dining facilities, including breakfast and evening meals.
