Drummond Golf Club is a 9-hole course with 18 tees located at Boundary Road in rural Southland, approximately 40 kilometres inland from Invercargill and 20 kilometres from Winton. The flat layout features well-maintained greens and is considered one of the easier courses in the Southland region. The majority of holes are lined with out-of-bounds fences that encourage straight tee shots, and the course features alternative ladies' and mens' tees for each hole, allowing for an 18-hole round with different perspectives.

The course is characterized by tree and hedgerow-lined fairways surrounding a sizeable wooded pond area situated in the centre of the course. Native birds inhabit the trees and fairways, with plans for the area to eventually become a wild bird sanctuary. The course was established in 1951 when local residents initiated the development, supported by the local Domain Board who provided the land. Trees were planted on three sides of the property and along fairway rows, with a removable building constructed as a clubhouse solution.

Drummond Golf Club serves as an active sports and social venue for the local community, welcoming both members and visitors. The course operates with club days on Saturday and Tuesday (ladies' day), with accessible green fees for casual play.
