Downingtown Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course stretching 6,619 yards, designed by George Fazio and built in 1966. Located in Downingtown, PA in Chester County, the course has been completely restored and is maintained to the highest standards, affording golfers a classic layout reflecting many of the great features of traditional Philadelphia golf courses.
The course features subtly contoured greens, shaped bunkering, and gently rolling fairways that create an enjoyable challenge for a wide range of skill levels. Hole #6, a 403 yard par-4, is marked as the #1 handicap hole on the course, while hole #15, the 162 yard par-3, is the easiest hole at the course. The designer, George Fazio, was a runner-up to Ben Hogan in the 1950 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club, and the touring professional out of Pine Valley Golf Club for a number of years.
Downingtown Country Club is part of the Ron Jaworski Golf family of courses. With more than 40 years of experience dating back to its days in Pennsylvania as the Downingtown Inn and Resort, Downingtown Country Club continues its traditional commitment to quality, service and uncompromising excellence.
