Down River Golf Course ☆ Follow

Down River Golf Course is an 18-hole course featuring 6,900 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course was designed by Xenophon G. Hassenplug, ASGCA, and opened in 1967. The Blue Tees have a course rating of 72 and slope of 126, White Tees a rating of 70.5 and slope of 123, and Gold Tees a rating of 66.6 and slope of 110.

The course is positioned along the mountains in South Central Pennsylvania, located just 8 miles from the PA turnpike. The course is surrounded by the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River and has been the nesting place for Bald Eagles. Down River features flat terrain with slanted greens and allows for an enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.

Throughout the golfing season, the course hosts tournaments, league play, and other golfing events. The family-owned course maintains well-groomed fairways and greens, offering both challenging and accessible holes for the range of golfer abilities.
