Dinsmore Golf Course

This scenic 18-hole course offers panoramic views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains from Ogden Mills & Ruth Livingston Mills Memorial State Park in Staatsburg, New York. One of the oldest golf courses in the country, it was built as a private 9-hole course in the 1890s as an amenity to the estates of the Dinsmore, Hoyt, and Mills families. The original south nine holes were expanded to a full 18-hole layout in 1962. The course is situated within an expansive park that includes the Staatsburgh State Historic Site, a Gilded Age mansion, along with scenic hiking trails and old carriage roads bordering the river. The setting provides a picturesque backdrop with river and mountain vistas. The course operates seasonally from April through October, weather permitting, and offers both 9-hole and 18-hole play options with electric and pull cart rentals available.
