The Defence Authority Country & Golf Club, located in Karachi, Pakistan, is an 18-hole, par 72 facility spanning approximately 140 acres. The course was initially designed by Donald Steel and developed to United States Golf Association (USGA) standards. It features a total yardage of 6,693 yards, with some records indicating a total yardage of 7,120 yards. The front nine holes were opened on April 28, 1997, followed by the back nine on August 30, 1998. The layout offers a challenging experience for both professionals and amateurs, enhanced by the availability of night golfing facilities. The course is situated within a setting that includes a creek area, providing views from specific locations such as the Flamingo Restaurant in the clubhouse. The grounds are described as well-manicured, hosting various tournaments including the SGA Cup Golf Championship. The club's infrastructure includes a clubhouse and administration block constructed in January 2001. Beyond the golf course, the facility provides allied amenities such as a sauna, cigar room, golfers’ terrace, library, and conference rooms. The site also houses pro-shops, catering providers, and a Sindhi Cultural Display Centre, supporting a comprehensive environment for members and visitors.
