Located in Toyama Prefecture, Daisen Camellia Country Club is a 36-hole facility that combines an 18-hole front nine with a separate 18-hole back nine. The course is situated approximately 25 minutes by car from the city center, offering expansive views of the Tateyama mountain range and the Toyama cityscape. The design maximizes the preservation of natural forest areas between holes, creating a strategic layout that challenges players to utilize their full range of skills. The front nine plays to a par of 36, with a back tee yardage of 3,283 yards. The back nine also plays to a par of 36, extending the total yardage to 6,631 yards from the back tees. The course features a double tees system for men, with front and back tees providing varying levels of difficulty. The course rating is 71.6 from the back tees, while women’s ratings are 77.6, 73.6, and 70.2 from the back, front, and ladies' tees respectively. The course is characterized by its strategic demands, with specific holes highlighted for particular strengths. The second hole, a par-3 from the back tees measuring 147 yards, is recommended for approach specialists due to its deceptive downhill nature that requires careful club selection. The fifth hole, a par-5 measuring 499 yards from the back tees, is favored by long hitters, who can attempt to carry the fairway bunkers on the left side. The back nine continues the strategic theme, with the seventeenth hole, a par-3 measuring 140 yards from the back tees, serving as another key test for approach players. The course concludes with the eighteenth hole, a par-5 measuring 587 yards from the back tees, which is recommended for long hitters. This finishing hole features strategically placed water hazards that require careful navigation. Local rules specify that all water hazards are lateral, marked with red stakes. Out-of-bounds areas are marked with white stakes, and repair areas are marked with blue stakes or white lines. Specific local rules apply to certain holes, including penalty options for out-of-bounds shots on the first, third, sixth, seventh, thirteenth, fifteenth, and eighteenth holes, as well as specific drop procedures for the thirteenth hole and water hazards on the ninth and eighteenth holes.
