Creswick Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by renowned Australian golf course architect Tony Cashmore, featuring well-placed bunkers, lagoons and sloping fairways set amongst native vegetation and tall eucalypts. The course is set amongst 150 acres of native bushland and runs 6,200 metres from the back tees, with each nine having two par-5 holes and two par-3 holes. The course design allows for the natural flow of land to determine the course routing, using ridges, swales, spurs and trees to create golf course holes with individuality, visual beauty and strategic flexibility.

The 6.2km course incorporates natural vegetation in a bushland setting with 15 picturesque lagoons to add to the challenge of the game and beauty of the environment. The back nine features fine terrain while the front half is very steep, in some places requiring maintenance staff to change mowing patterns and introduce cross-fairway rough areas to keep balls in play. Multiple tee positions suit all levels of golfer from the novice to the expert.

The course emphasizes environmental sustainability through the use of native and drought-tolerant indigenous grasses with minimal chemical use, and is watered with recycled treated water. The course is a collaboration between Tony Cashmore and Australian PGA Professional Robert Allenby, resulting in a course of forest framed greens, fairways set in cathedral-like passages, sweeping slopes and cooling creek systems.
