The club welcomes visitors at all times, though Saturday and Sunday mornings reserve tee times for members' competitions until 9:30am. The course is characterized by well-maintained playing surfaces and challenging greens, with the clubhouse offering catering facilities and group meal arrangements.

Cregmore Park provides comprehensive practice amenities, including a floodlit driving range with ten spacious bays and coaching available through PGA professionals in individual or group sessions. A new practice green is planned for 2025. The club hosts open day competitions during bank holiday weekends in summer and during Galway Race Week for affiliated Golf Ireland members.

The facility is noted for its welcoming atmosphere and reasonable green fees, attracting both regular visitors and newcomers to the game. The course maintains its championship status while remaining accessible to golfers of varying skill levels.
