Country Club of Vermont is an 18-hole championship golf course nestled in the scenic valley between the Worcester and Mansfield mountain ranges in Waterbury Center, Vermont. Designed by Canadian architect and amateur golfer Graham Cooke, the course features bent grass greens and tees framed by bluegrass rough and native fescues. The front nine resembles Irish links-style golf, while the back nine winds through Vermont's trees and hills, offering views of Camel's Hump. Golf Digest ranked it among the state's top courses. The private, member-owned club has hosted significant tournaments including the Women's and Men's Vermont Amateurs and the New England Women's Amateur. The signature Couching Lion Invitational draws golfers regionally. Set on 225 meticulously maintained acres, the club also features Har-Tru tennis courts, dining facilities, and event spaces. Established in 1998, it provides a comprehensive club experience blending championship golf with scenic mountain vistas and challenging terrain.
