The Country Club of the South features an 18-hole championship golf course measuring 6,950 yards with a par of 72, designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1987. The course is marked by lush pines and hardwoods, rolling hills, lakes, streams and granite outcroppings, all meticulously designed to showcase the spectacular natural scenery. The Jack Nicklaus Signature course presents a challenge to all levels of players, and Jack Nicklaus has always considered the Country Club of the South course as one of his best.

The course is revered as one of the more demanding courses in the Atlanta area, offering golfers an opportunity to refine their skills and surpass personal expectations. Lush pines and hardwoods, rolling hills, lakes, streams, and granite outcroppings make this course one of unsurpassed natural beauty, and this course presents one of the most challenging layouts in the area.

Opened in 1987, the course was voted one of the "Top 20 Best Courses in Georgia" by Golf Digest. It was also home to the Champions Tour Nationwide Championship from 1991 to 1994. The 13th hole features a green split into two by a creek running through the middle, making club selection of utmost importance on this signature hole.
