Country Club of Green Valley

Country Club of Green Valley is an 18-hole private golf course located in Green Valley, Arizona, situated on 130 acres bordering the Santa Cruz River and pecan groves. Designed by Red Lawrence, the course features five sets of tees ranging from 4,809 to 6,628 yards, offering challenge for players of all skill levels.

The layout is characterized by tree-lined fairways that create a familiar setting for members from the eastern and midwestern United States. The course is notably deceptive in difficulty, requiring use of a full complement of clubs despite its yardage. Play maintains a brisk pace, with rounds completed in four hours or less even during peak season, facilitated by organized shotgun start times.

The facility emphasizes year-round playability through strategic overseeding with winter rye and summer bermuda, supported by conservative turf management and access to water rights from the Santa Cruz Aquifer. Amenities include comprehensive practice facilities with a driving range, chipping and pitching areas, bunker, and two putting greens. The club, established in 1971 and member-owned, hosts over 40 tournaments annually alongside weekly men's and women's competitions.
