The Coronation Course at Woodcote Park is an 18-hole downland golf course designed by architect F R Smith and opened in 1953 to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Located within the Royal Automobile Club's Woodcote Park estate on the Epsom Downs, the course features tree-lined grounds with sweeping vistas towards Epsom Racecourse, creating a dramatic and picturesque setting. Built on the site of the former New Course, which had been ploughed up during the Second World War, the Coronation Course represents a restoration of golfing facilities to the estate. The course is one of two full 18-hole courses at Woodcote Park, complementing the older course originally designed by renowned architect William Herbert Fowler. The downland terrain and carefully maintained landscape provide a challenging yet scenic golfing experience characteristic of the region's natural topography.
