Copper Rock Golf Course

Course Information Unclaimed

Copper Rock Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course with a par of 72, stretching over 7,227 yards. The course officially opened in late February 2020 and is located within Hurricane city limits, approximately nine miles east of the Sand Hollow Resort Championship Course. Named for the copper-colored cliffs on the mountains east of the course, the course features a mixture of wide fairways and narrowing approach shots to undulating greens, with a relatively flat desert golf-like front nine that transitions to a tree-lined elevated back nine.

Designed by golf architect Dale Beddo, the front nine offers a mix of risk-reward short par 4s and strong par 3s. The signature 17th hole, nicknamed 'SkyDive,' is a 134-yard par 3 from the high point of the course offering the most impressive views at Copper Rock, though play is heavily influenced by wind. The layout features white sand bunkers framing the course with native grasses, while the back nine provides long views of Pine Valley Mountain and surrounding cliffs.

The course hosts an annual championship featuring top female golfers from around the world. Copper Rock is noted for Southern Utah's best bunkering style and an enjoyable setting that embraces the desert mountain surroundings.
