The Cootamundra Country Club was established in 1895 and is the oldest golf club in country NSW. The course boasts an excellent par 71 18-hole golf course measuring 5608 metres from the championship tees. The feature holes are the 5th (140m) and 16th (195m), testing downhill par threes which can punish the errant tee shots.

Located in Riverina, in NSW's South West Slopes region, it is a scenic road trip from Sydney or Melbourne and only two hours' drive northwest of Canberra. Golfers are provided with a testing, hill layout with Kikuyu fairways, superb bent greens and wonderful views over the local landscape. Wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, birdlife and echidnas are present throughout the course.

The club offers excellent sporting facilities for golf, bowls and croquet. The Country Club hosts many annual golf and bowls tournaments during the year. Social activities include Bridge, Bingo, TAB, poker machines and a refreshing bar.
