Columbia Golf Club is a 36-hole facility located in Columbia, Illinois, in the St. Louis metro area, comprising two distinct 18-hole courses. The original course, opened in 1969 and designed by Al Linkogel, features 5,970 yards from the back tees with a par of 71. Known as "The Old Course," it was initially developed as a nine-hole layout. The second course, Columbia Bridges, was designed by Gary Kern and opened in 1996 as a nine-hole course before expanding to a full 18 holes in 2007. Bridges plays to 6,998 yards at par 72. Both courses share consistent conditioning with bent grass greens and zoysia tees and fairways, offering appropriate challenge levels for golfers of all skill levels. The facility has been under the ownership of William and Martha Hawn since 2001, during which time significant expansion and improvements were implemented. The dual-course setup provides variety while maintaining comparable quality and playability standards across both layouts.
