Collie Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course measuring 6,004 metres, located in the Collie River Valley, approximately two hours south of Perth, Western Australia. Set within a forest landscape, the course features lush, fully reticulated fairways and fast grass greens bordered by the Collie River.
The layout is characterized by tree-lined fairways and numerous right-to-left dog-legs, with relatively generous dimensions that appeal to golfers of varying abilities. Key hazards include bunkers, the Collie River lining holes 3 and 8, and a notable pond on hole 16 that captures many balls during winter months. The course presents a genuine challenge without being excessively difficult, consistently attracting visiting groups from Perth courses.
Notable features include signature hole 8 alongside the river and hole 5 in front of the clubhouse, offering exceptional viewing opportunities. The natural setting features abundant wildlife, including large kangaroo populations, and seasonal flora including Christmas trees and wildflowers with numerous orchid varieties.
The club hosts two major open tournaments: the Summer Open in early December and the Riverside Open in mid-March, both Stableford events attracting up to 200 competitors. The clubhouse provides excellent facilities with a licensed bar and outdoor deck offering views of seven holes simultaneously.
