Abersoch Golf Club

Abersoch Golf Club is an 18-hole course located on the Cambrian Coast in Snowdologia, North Wales. The layout combines traditional links and parkland holes, offering challenges for golfers of all abilities. The course was designed by Harry Vardon, with several holes following the natural contours of the coastal sand dunes.

The signature hole is the par-3 3rd, a 246-yard hole featuring an elevated tee with panoramic views. Players must drive downhill over gorse and a water hazard to reach a sloping green protected by a rear bunker. The links holes hugging the shoreline demand accuracy, as errant shots are severely punished by the undulating terrain carved through century-old dunes.

The course requires careful course management and placement rather than distance, with strategic play essential throughout. The design emphasizes natural hazards including water features and gorse. Abersoch Golf Club was named Welsh Golf Course of the Year in 2018 and is playable year-round. The club features a welcoming clubhouse with bar, patio area, catering facilities, fully stocked pro shop, and golf simulator.
