Cliftonville Golf Club

Cliftonville Golf Club, founded in 1911, is one of Belfast City's oldest golf clubs. Located on Westland Road in the shadow of Cave Hill, this 9-hole course measures over 6,200 yards and presents a serious test of golf. The opening hole is a notably challenging par 3, nominated twice by BBC NI as one of the "Toughest Par 3s," followed by a formidable par-4 second hole exceeding 450 yards. The course features two water hazards, with the river fronting the greens at holes 5 and 7, adding to the strategic difficulty. The mature greens are characterized by subtle contours and require precise approach play.
