The opening hole is a notably challenging par 3, nominated twice by BBC NI as one of the "Toughest Par 3s," followed by a formidable par-4 second hole exceeding 450 yards. The course features two water hazards, with the river fronting the greens at holes 5 and 7, adding to the strategic difficulty.
