Clarinda Country Club is an 18-hole, par 68 semi-private golf course located on the north edge of Clarinda, Iowa. Measuring 5,081 yards, the course is carved into rolling hills and is known for rewarding precise shot placement rather than distance. The layout emphasizes the challenging terrain of its setting, with notable features including Hole #3, which crosses a deep ravine, and Hole #17, a narrow par 4 flanked by large oak trees.

The course features a tee-to-green irrigation system and is recognized as one of Southwest Iowa's best-maintained courses. Originally designed as a nine-hole layout in 1918 by a golf professional from Happy Hollow Country Club in Omaha, the course expanded to 18 holes in 1976-1977 when an additional nine holes were constructed to the east. Further refinements were made in 1992 with the addition of new holes designed by architect Grant Wentzel. The course's character reflects its rolling terrain and strategic use of natural features, including creeks and mature oak trees that define several holes.
