Located in Chitose, Hokkaido, Chitose Country Club is an 18-hole facility established in October 1974. The course is divided into two distinct nine-hole layouts: the Karamatsu Course and the Shirakaba Course. The grounds span 157,000 square meters of gently rolling terrain, characterized by wide fairways that allow for expansive play. The facility operates year-round with a winter closure period from early December to early April. The Karamatsu Course is described as a relatively flat, long-distance layout that encourages powerful shots typical of the Hokkaido landscape. It features a par 36 with hole lengths ranging from 186 yards to 543 yards. The front nine includes a demanding par-5 fourth hole measuring 543 yards from the blue tees, while the back nine offers a mix of par-4s and a 485-yard par-5 seventh hole. The Shirakaba Course provides a strategic contrast with its undulating terrain, featuring uphill and downhill shots and valley crossings. This layout also carries a par 36, highlighted by a long 495-yard par-5 first hole and a short 180-yard par-3 eighth hole. The course is set within a landscape of larch and birch forests, offering a natural backdrop for the wide fairways. The Shirakaba Course is noted for its strategic variety, incorporating elevated tees and downhill approaches that require precise shot-making. Both courses are designed to accommodate a range of skill levels, with yardages varying significantly across blue, white, and red tees. The facility includes a 220-yard driving range with 15 bays and a competition room capable of seating 40 guests.
