Chiangmai Inthanon Golf and Natural Resort is a 72-par course designed by Mr. Suphachai Silamon and opened in 2009. The layout offers five tee box options, ranging from 5,658 yards on the red tees to 7,268 yards on the black tees. The course is situated in a setting that provides views of Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest mountain, and features an unusual timber clubhouse. The round begins with a par 5 followed by two par 4s, but the difficulty increases significantly from the seventh hole. This par 4 presents a split fairway divided by a line of trees, requiring a strategic decision between an easier approach that risks water or a more difficult shot with bunkers. Water hazards become a major factor at the thirteenth hole, another par 4 where the fairway curves left with bunkers guarding the landing zone and water protecting the right side of the green. The closing holes are noted for their scenery and challenge. The seventeenth hole, considered the signature hole, requires a tee shot over a lake with a dogleg right fairway and sand traps on both sides of the bend. It finishes on an elevated green surrounded by bunkers, offering views over the jungle. The eighteenth hole continues this scenic theme, though the terrain demands precision to avoid the surrounding hazards.
