Chester Country Club is a nine-hole golf course located two miles north of Chester, Illinois on Route 3. Originally established in 1954 at Fort Kaskaskia State Park, the current facility opened in spring 1966. The course features Bent grass greens, which are among the largest and best-constructed in Southern Illinois, paired with Bermuda grass fairways installed in fall 1994. A modern irrigation system was added during the same upgrade period. The course offers a large practice green and maintains a cart rental fleet for player convenience. As a community golf club, Chester Country Club provides a welcoming golfing environment suitable for various skill levels. The facility extends beyond the course itself, featuring a full-service clubhouse with a complete bar and kitchen. The club hosts tournaments and special events throughout the year and maintains an active men's league that plays every Wednesday evening.
